Getting back to normal after a migraine attack

When your migraine is over you will be able to return to doing all the things you enjoy like swimming, football, dancing, cycling and lots more! Some children feel quite tired for a little while afterwards but this soon passes and they feel completely back to normal.

Don't worry

Although migraine can make you feel really ill for a time it's very seldom a sign that anything serious is wrong with you. It can be your body's way of telling you that it's very tired and you need to slow down for a while.

It is very, very unlikely that a migraine means you have a life threatening condition.

We need to know more!!

There is still a lot we don't know about migraine and doctors and scientists all around the world are working very hard to find out more and to develop new treatments. You can help by writing to us to tell us about your migraine, how it makes you feel, what you think causes it and what makes you feel better. Contact us.

You can be rich and famous

Some people say that very bright and intelligent people get migraine. There is no proof of this but we know of some very famous brainy people in history who had migraine such as Albert Einstein and Lewis Carroll.

Migraine shouldn't stop you from doing the things you want to in life. Lots of very successful people have migraine. Some that we know about are:

  • Gareth Gates
  • Ryan Giggs
  • Ronaldo
  • Roger Black
  • Darren Anderton
